Thw BioNeb® cell disruption system was conceived and developed by Dr. Stefan J. Surzycki, Dr. Robert K. Togasaki, and Mr. Masahiko Kitayama at Indiana University Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology.


Through the regulation of gas pressure (between a range of only 10 to 250 psi), the system can be adjusted precisely to:

  • gentlyopen cells
  • completely disrupt cells
  • achieve 90% disruption for many cells in only one or two passes
  • generates no heat - it actually cools the sample
  • this efficient process takes very little time, as the unit can disrupt cells at a flow rate of 30 ml/minute.

Full Body Inhalation Exposure System
The Inhalation Exposure System provides reproducible animal exposure to droplet-borne contaminants and infectious agents. It also produces deep-lung infections that more closely simulate real-world circumstances.

For high-speed operations, the direct-drive shaft is recommended. The geared shaft, on the other hand, generates high torque and lower speeds. The homogenizer drive's electronic motor controller delivers versatile and reliable performance and maintains speed. This controller also provides: Smooth rotation and repeatability, reduced motor temperature, and reduced noise thanks to filtered circuitry.

Glas Col's Digital Pulse Mixer is capable of performing high or low speed pulse orbital mixing for Sample Prep Work and most other applications. This unit is able to accomodate a wide variety of glasware, racks, well plates or reactor blocks for accurate, repeatable results.

The microprocessor based control technology allows for display of speed, multi-function timer, and pulse profiling. Using the USB communications port and available LabNetix® software package, several units can be controlled through your personal computer.

Scalable High-Throughput Micro-Expression Device for Recombinant Proteins

Our shakers are affordable and can be automated or customized for any vessel. Applications include micro-expressions for recombinant proteins and solution phase synthesis when a good mixture of heterogeneous solutions is needed. In Solid Phase chemistry the pulsation feature is extremely useful for the full reaction of resins, and other materials. In cell culture Glas-Col's density in one plate is equivalent to four plates from other manufacturers.
